The Opening Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Is Still Fighting.

Everywhere you go, commentators persist in tolling the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a platform few have heard of. Platform-specific outlets began covering on PS5 topics for the first time. The past year represented complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. However, judging purely by the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft continues to plan to engage players with strong games on its key platform.

The Available Now Titles

A pair of titles that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's worth getting excited about.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Come mid-January, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with a cosmic robbery tale. Another big get is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, previously described as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."

Compelling Indie Titles

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, becomes available next week β€” and it merits a playthrough regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in remarkably quickly.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription in the first place. Yet, this selection are rock solid. The lineup provides a solid mix of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they deserved the first time around β€” rendering them ideal prospects to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
